New Driving License process.

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

as many of you may have noticed, there are new laws in place - hurray.

Now, driving schools hand out certificates for you. Then you take that certificate and go to the DMV to get your license.

Every driving school i've asked told me i have to wait months for a testing spot. obviously asking for tea money. then they said, i still have to watch the video at DLT with a waiting time of MAY! LOL

what is up with this BS? I just want a driving license.

People at the DLT watching the video.

The whole process is insulting. TIT ?

Why not cough up with some tea money then? Normal way of life here in LOS.

Just think about what a DL cost back home, in my case we are talking about over 100k baht I think, you have to go on a wet track & min x hours with the instructor before you can take the practical test.

Waiting time varies much from DLT office to office.

Where would you go?

In July 2015 I had to wait 3 weeks for an appointment.

From the OP it sounds like you don't have any home country license or IDP?

Doing from scratch?
