Non Imm O VISA timing

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I wonder if I could have some advice regarding timing?

I have a Non Immigrant O VISA and have been successfully crossing the border / flying out every 90 days for the last year.

My VISA was issued in Laos on the 5th April 2016

My last entry was on the 22nd Dec 2016 and the stamp gives me until the 21st March 2017

The VISA Enter Before Date is the 4th Apr 2017

Am I reading the situation correctly in thinking that I still have one more exit / entry before needing to go to Laos for another VISA ( so long as I exit / enter before the 4th Apr 2017 ) ?

Will I then have another 90 days after which I would then need to obtain another VISA abroad?

PS - I am not interested in the option of "Extension of Stay"

Thanks in advance

You will get another 90 day entry if you do it on or before that date.

You can also apply for a 60 day extension of that entry to visit your wife.

You can travel back and forth as often as you want until April 4th.

Every entry will give you another 90 days.

You have to do a border run until March 21 which

would give you permission to stay until June 18.

You could stretch that with another border run until April 4 which

would get a permission to stay until July 2.

If it's worth the effort? Probability not.

So mid to end of June would be the time to do something new.

Slight correction: you have to exit on or before 21 March (see your latest stamp) and enter before 4 April.
