Just had a call from a mate who is in Savannakhet. 

 

Tourist visas will not be issued if you don't  have 20000 cash and a bus/air ticket to leave Thailand.  

 

Many people being turned away as we speak. 

That has been reported before and there is long topic about it.

The last few weeks it has been bank statements being required and not cash. People were being refused that only had cash and no bank statements.
