I am on what is popularly known as the retirement visa and report every 90 days to immigration.

 

 I had to return to Blighty on family reasons on the 24th December, and returned yesterday on a re-entry permit to continue my present leave to remain.

 

I assumed the 90 day report cycle ended when I left the country, and continues on a new cycle from yesterday.

 

But the old 90 day report slip was not taken out by the immigration officer at Swampy, and it shows I am due to report today- 21st.

 

So, I am confused.

 

Am I still on the original schedule, even though I left the country? Or should I just discard the slip myself and just count from my new entry stamp?

Immigration at the airport never does anything with report slips.
Your report is due 90 days from the date you entered the country including that date in the count.
Keep the receipt to prove you did your last report in case there was a problem.
