PVR Recorder 3.5 External USB2.0 Hard drive, where to buy/repair

Featured Replies

Hi All, my 3.5" External USB2.0/eSATA to SATA Hard Drive Encloser with OTB, 1.0TB 64MB cache Western Digital, WD12EARX. Which I use for recording from True Visions and play back is faulty, during play back it stops and starts, sound is not always played, picture is from time to time broken.

Where can I buy in Pattaya or else ware or on the internet, the same or equivalent unit.

Have been to Tuk Com Pattaya with no luck nor does it appear to be able to order one.

Have seen the same units on the internet, but no longer available.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thank you.

If it plugs in via USB then why cant you use any "off the shelf" external USB harddrive...or buy a USB to SATA enclosure and put a new hard drive in ?

Hi, have connected to the set top box only using the USB or eSATA , the true visions set set box then does not recognize  the the hard drive unless both cables are connected.

Tom

have you read this thread here ?

A cheap thing to try     get one of these  powered USB to SATA converters from Tukcom and try with your existing hard drive

you will need to get it out of the enclosure and connect up the power block and data cable-USB
