There is probably several topics already. but i dont see any recent recent 2017 post.

My question is. as i am on my ED visa, got a girlfriend , ending up with a baby ( expected to born in may ) i needed to find a job and stay in thailand for living.
everything worked out and i found the job willing to apply for my permit. so thats all done i will have the papers next week.

its time for my apply of visa Non b

Now i been before to penang a couple of time and i wish to see something else.

I heard laos was an option but now someone else been telling me no 1 year visa's there just 3 months.

so could someone give me an update if there is a other option then penang to go to for the apply of a Non B visa multiple entry 1 year.

You will need a work permit application approval letter to apply for a single entry non-b visa at any nearby embassy or consulate.

Then after the work permit is issued you could apply for a one year extension of stay based upon working at a immigration office if the company and your job met the requirements. If not you could then apply for a multiple entry non-b visa by having a work permit is valid for more than 8 months when you apply for it.

Your employer should know what the requirement are.

alright so if i understand you  correct. i need to have these aproval letters. and then go out the country to get the Single entry non b visa. 
when i retun on that visa i can apply for the multiply entry and one year extension ? at the local imigration office ?

there is no way to apply for this 1 year non b directly if i got the aproved letters that are needed.

and those 2 are the only options ? penang or vientiane. or i can do this non b apply in several consulates or embassys ?

i tried to seek for answers on the forum but there is SOO Much and eveyr case is different and updated so many times

I might asked it on the wrong way. i need the Non B . but the apply for the workpermit is based on me as A General manager in the hotel industry. i dont know if this make any difference at all. im not gonna do my own busines im just gonna work as where im schooled as

After you get the single entry non-b visa you could apply for a one year extension of stay. One of the requirements is a salary of 50k baht for most of those from western countries. Here is the basic requirements. extension based upon working .pdf

 If you cannot get the extension due to your salary or the company records you could then get the multiple entry non-b visa that requires leaving every 90 days for a new entry.

You will not be able to get a multiple entry non-b visa without a work permit. Penang is the only nearby location that will do a  multiple entry non-b visa.

There are others that will issue the single entry non-b but Vientiane and Penang are the most convenient to get to and have known history.
