Three passengers killed, 32 others injured when bus overturns in Surat Thani

Surat Thani: -- An air-conditioned bus heading from Bangkok to Hat Yai overturned in this southern province early Saturday morning, killing three passengers and injuring 32 others.

Police said the accident happened at 1:30 am on the Asia Highway in Surat Thani's Punpin district.

Police said the accident occurred apparently because it was raining hard and the part of the road was very dark.

Rescue workers had to use iron cutters to cut open the bus to pull out victims and rushed them to a nearby hospital.
