Brussels tells EU states to detain more freely migrants awaiting deportation

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - European Union member states should be ready to detain more migrants who have no case for asylum to prevent them from running away before they are deported, the chief migration official with the bloc's executive arm in Brussels said.

PHUKET: -- A 37-year-old Malaysian man was found dead in a Patong hotel room yesterday, a death which police have initially put down to natural causes.

Dangerous smog levels detected in Tak and Lampang

PHUKET: -- Three Russian tourists were rescued from heavy seas overnight and one was safely recovered five miles off Racha Noi Island early this morning after the group were separated by strong currents during a snorkelling and spearfishing trip south of Phuket yesterday afternoon (Mar 2).
