webfact Posted March 5, 2017 Share Posted March 5, 2017 EEC benefits eastern region's tourism: TAT governor BANGKOK, 6 March 2017 (NNT) - Tourism Authority of Thailand governor Yutthasak Supasorn commented that the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) offers the opportunity for regional tourism. He said that the government's EEC project provides the good opportunity to develop the Eastern tourism in terms of industrial tourism while maintaining the charming traditions of Thailand. The TAT will continue to develop personnel in the service and tourism sectors in order to enhance competitiveness. Pattaya lost any charming traditions it might have had decades ago. The rest of Thailand has been losing it's charm at an alarming rate. The rush to monetize EVERYTHING has seen to that. Rest of asia rocketing ahead so Thailand's place in tourism will be harder maintain. Myanmar already becoming popular with backpackers and tourists seaking real not fake culture, Vietnam has a lot of hip modern culture and growing popularity that thailand can only dream about, they much smarter on visa rules and way it applied by immigration staff too . TAT are not up to task and it would take decades educate people and remove the face and greed disease's that are killing the place .
