Retirement extension combo

Featured Replies

When applying with the combination method being pension and the balance in the bank, does the cash balance need seasoning of 3 months?

No Sir, no seasoning needed at all..

Yes it does at most Immigration Offices.

You might get away with it if the bank balance is small.

Im reading that it doesn't mostly but I guess it depends on the office. Mine is about 250k

Ask at your local office as most will want it in the bank for the qualifying period.

UbonJoe will be along soon and he will tell you that it is not in the rules but many offices now require it.

OK with this being said, it does NOT need to be seasoned according to the law, but maybe you be better off to check it first with your own lcal immigration-office....

Up here i NEVER heard about any seasoning when it comes to combined money..

Glegolo

Up here they do require it as I made a point of asking.

Generally yes unless the shortfall in income is small in which case the rule might get waived.

Law doesn't come in to it.

Most offices, under instructions from immigration management, have been applying this rule ("seasoning") for years.

Appearently they forgot to instruct the officies of Khon Kaen as well as Chaiyaphum!!!

Any others??

Khon Kaen require the bank balance to be seasoned.

I live in Chaiyaphum since 9 years back now, and up to november 2016 we did "belong" to the Khon Kaen office. I did my own yearly retirement-extension in september last year and it was NOT asked at all to be seasoned...

I asked them a few times last year and they said 3 months in the bank.
I opted for the marriage option instead.
