Change of address

Featured Replies

I am registered with Buriram immigration but now residing in Pattaya and intend doing my next retirement extention here.

should I go to Jomtien immigration and change my address before I do my extention in June or wait and do it together.

Is this the TM30 form.

Thanks

I suggest you do it now. It seems Jomtien only want a TM30 form instead of only a TM28 change of address form.

When is your next 90 day report due?

I'm leaving the country for two weeks in April, so won't require before June.

Was just asking since the address change would need to be done before you could do the report.

May I kidnap this thread for a similar question plse.. I have a friend who claim that it is so enormously easy to change address and use whatever immigration-office in Thailand...

He says that you only can walk into the immigration-office, and tells them that you have moved there, and when you are tired of that place after a short while, you can go back again from where you came and just say that you have a change of heart and like to move back.

How is it in real life?? Is it really that easy to arrange with this change of address, and move from immigration-office to immigration-ofice.??

Anybody who knows..

Thanks

I a person was a on tourist visa or multiple entry visa of some kind it would not be hard to change offices.

For a person on extensions of stay it would require proof of residence when you changed to a new office to do 90 day reports, applying for extensions and etc.

So I would say your friend is full of it.

I did it last year ( I am on extension of stay ) ; just before going to immigration, I got a new tabian ban ; immigration office just asked for a TM30 ( filled by my GF who has the house , with her blue tabian ban ) to be registred with my new address in their computer

Not sure about that immigration office. Not reports about it. I would say most offices don't insist the landlord do the TM30 in person.
