Its been a long time since I was in Pattaya but I seem to remember seeing that the umbrellas and deckchairs were not available one day a week 

Is that so or can they be hired everyday

All chairs and umbrellas are not available on Wednesday, each and every week.

Yeah on Wednesdays you can bring your own

Wednesday is the cheap day at both the English cinema complexes: 100 Baht at Major at Avenue Mall, 120 at SF at Central Beach Road. Programmes start after noon and neither is especially busy. Good alternative to the beach for one day.

If you are beach bound buy a rattan mat: single about 100, double about 130.
