BANGKOK: -- The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) says Phra Dhammachayo is not sick as earlier claimed by his followers and doctors, and now he is believed hiding somewhere outside the Dhammakaya temple.

DSI deputy spokesman Pol Maj Woranan Srilam said the escape of the defiant monk from the temple indicated he is not sick as earlier claimed.

He said the DSI has received information from several informers of the hideouts of the monk and it is in the process of verifying these information.

He declined to elaborate but said now he is outside the control area (Dhammakaya temple).

He said if there is substantial evidence of his hideout, the DSI could propose the use of Section 44 to declare it a control area to facilitate search.

the old fox

had them guessing for months

Oh, he is sick alright. In the head. He shouldn't be in a temple but in a psychiatric hospital.

"The fox went out on a chilly night and prayed for the moon to give him light.."
