Police investigating the army. That bodes well for a just outcome.

Does not say if he was armed.  Shooting somebody who is by himself and not armed infers poor military / police training.

If he wasn't armed then just killing TIT

Its a cost factor thing a bullet is cheaper. Its China's preferred and cheapest method of solving the same kind of problem.

They don't get rid of political activists.

Insufficient reporting.
Did he drive a motorcycle (17 years old?) Or did he drive a car?
How he fight back?
Was he armed (gun?, knife?) or unarmed?
Was it self-defense or murder?

Prachatai report that the military say he was armed with a knife and grenade.

He was probably armed with a guitar and tried to sing Prayuth's latest melody. In this case it would be justifiable homicide.

You mean the birthday boy 21st of March will go down in history as a day not to remember

If there is any justice in the world this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back
