No explosive device found in Thai Smile Airways flight from Suvarnabhumi to Chiang Rai

 

BANGKOK, 20 March 2017 (NNT) - The Airports of Thailand (AOT) has revealed that no explosive device was found in connection to the recent bomb threat on a Thai Smile Airways flight from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport to Chiang Rai province. 

AOT President Sirote Duangratana disclosed that at approximately 6:50pm on March 19th, the security center at Suvarnabhumi International Airport received word from Thai Smile flight WE 136 bound for Chiang Rai that a passenger had announced to a flight attendant upon boarding that his bag contained an explosive. 

Mr Sirote said officials immediately implemented the airport’s emergency procedures for bomb threats. The emergency procedure was subsequently lifted at 9:57pm, after officials found no explosive device and the plane departed to its planned destination at 11:20pm. 

Pol Col Krisana Pattanacharoen, Deputy Spokesperson for the Royal Thai Police, reported that officials had questioned the suspect, a boy under the age of 14, as well as his accompanying parents. He also confirmed that a thorough sweep of the airplane’s cargo hold yielded no signs of an explosive device.

The kid should be sent to a juvenile detention centre. Either that or a children's hospital for mental illnesses. What an evil kid.
