A surprise and help needed.

I have just had a phone call from my mum who has planned to visit us here in Thailand with other family members and it has come as a bit of a surprise. Up at ours I have no worries but they want to obviously go to a holiday destination. I have been around a bit and the only place I would consider is Hua Hin, never been too Chaam so any info on that place would be welcome. I am looking for a nice place to relax with my family children will be with us so no booming music or the handsome man <deleted>. Any good ideas?

if you don't mind driving thru past Bangkok to the the Eastside, and go as far as SriRacha...

and jump on the ferry to:

- (I keep sayin' to folks to have a go at) Koh SiChang

   - a real family oriented place, the whole island ( I haven't even found a girlie beer bar there as yet)

Thanks I'll take a look.

and we only found the 'one solitary' 7-11 on the entire island

Halfway South, down the Eastern shoreline water front is where HRH RamaV did his R'n'R, at one of his Royal Palaces of the period.

The little respite chalets are open as a museum now

life is pretty 'laid back' there,

Why don't you chaps embed your links? Such a mess. Just click the link button on the editor toolbar (5th from left). Your loooong Phiphitthaphan Phra Chutha Thut Rat Than string pointing to this place in G maps:

... can become this.

Op, would also suggest Kanchanaburi. Some nice digs on the river and interesting road trips to waterfalls etc.

By the way, don't you just love the visits from folks back home. And they always want you to take them around everywhere. :whistling:
