Tinder Tricks: Cops search for men posing as Thai air hostesses on app to scam cash from suitors

BANGKOK: -- Bangkok police are hunting two suspects for allegedly using photos of THAI Airways hostesses to deceive men on the popular dating app into thinking they were “matching” with stewardess hotties.

 

The Crime Suppression Division (CSD) is acting on a report by two air hostesses who claim their personal pictures were stolen from their Facebook pages and used on the dating app without their permission. The pictures may have been used to scam millions of baht from more than 30 men that the fraudsters “flirted” with through the app since 2014.

 

One of the male victims in Bangkok told cops he sent THB15,000 baht to a supposed air hostess after she told him she was overseas and her credit card wasn’t working...

Years ago in the 1970s with the low pay that the air hostesses were getting there was an actual list of these ladies that you could "date" as an escort . The list was controlled and the clients were upper class Thais.Some of the clientele were some local expats living and working here but no tourist.The cost was about 5 to 7 times what it would cost for a lady from a medium to upper class club.

I'd say this person is less of a victim and more of a dumbass. 

 

I remember years ago being on a dating website. My God! So many dudes looking for sex and so many girls looking for money. Was one big cesspit of people crying foul has they'd either been used for sex or been used for money. Seems when someone is offering you something you want so badly - all common sense goes out the window for so many.

      I've just sent 250,000 baht to my air hostess when her plane had a flat tire. Nothing wrong with it.

 

       We'll marry in June.
