BANGKOK — The south of Thailand will be showered by heavy rains until Wednesday, the Meteorological Department said Saturday.

 

Those who plan to enjoy a sunny summer on southern beaches next week – both on the side of Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand – might not be so lucky, as forecasts predict continued downpours in the southern region for another five days.

 

The Saturday warning covered the beach towns of Phuket, Krabi, Phang Nga and Surat Thani province.
