Thailand live, daily news threads, send you to search results when clicked

Obviously the Thailand Live threads are a great feature, kudos to the team that put them together. However, for some reason when you click on either the link or the icon for go to last unread post, you are sent to the search results page for a search on all the threads in the series. Yes the current one appears on the top of the list, but I would prefer that the click took me directly to the thread, and preferably to the first unread post in the thread. Once there is a new Thailand Live thread, I am no longer looking for the last days thread and if I was I would no how to find it with out assistance.

Also, there used to be a feature at the same basic area as the view new content link, which said, go to first unread post. This was a very helpful feature which allowed to navigate back to where you left off in a thread. This was a definite boon in threads of length where you could find yourself going back to the OP or to some older post, and then find your way back in a click.
