Change a tourist visa in ED

Recommended Posts

My daughter is Cambodian national.

She always studied in Thailand since kindergarten and got yearly extensions of her ED visa.

As you know when you leave M6 to enter University, there is a 5 / 6 months gap. So she lost her ED visa.

Now she came back in Thailand with a tourist visa because her University was not ready to make the documents in March.

She entered Thailand on 01 April with a tourist visa and can stay until 30 May. The University should be able to make the documents soon.

My questions

1- Is it possible to change a tourist visa to ED visa?

2- What is the dead line? 30 May or 30 April?

3- Which documents does she needs to change her visa?

THANK YOU

Ubon Joe are you working today?

:)

1. Yes it can be done at Bangkok immigration since she is attending a formal school.

2. It has to applied for prior to last 15 days of her 60 day entry. It can be done at any time before then.

3. From Bangkok immigration website.
