E passport

Featured Replies

Greetings.  Presently on PR status in Thailand, job entails a lot of travelling in and out of the Kingdom. Every time the immigration officers would take ages to check on their computers before they can stamp on the blue PR book until this last time, the supervisor told me that with PR status , I can apply for a e pass..

Tried to enquire about that at their regional office (Hatyai)  but nobody seems to know about this. Wondering if anybody here at TV can shine more light on this. Your kind assistance would be much appreciated.

You have to register for it at the airport.

Topic about it here.

I have PR as well and use the e pass.  I got a e pass sticker in my passport when leaving through Suvarnabhumi airport and have been using it since. Just contact the immigration desk located just behind passport control.  It will take about 20 minutes.

However, as of this moment it ONLY works at Suvarnabhumi airport, not at Don Muang and I would imagine none of the other airports either, although I am not sure

Greetings and thanks for all the helpful informations provided by the suppportive members of TV.  May I summerized as follow :

1) Appplication can be made both on the way in or out , but only at Bkk airport not DMK

2) Need a six months re-entry visa

3) Passport with 2 years vlidity

4)Blue PR ook , House registration and a Thai person as guarantor

It would take about 15 to 45 minutes to get this done and so far nobody mentioned any fees so may I presume it is free ?

Please feel free to chip in if I have missed anything
