New set of Versys tyres.

Recommended Posts

I'm in Sukhothai nearest big bike tyre place is Phitsanulok.

The  Pirelli scorpions are getting bad looking even though plenty tread left.

I was quoted with a discount 11,800 for a new set, lost track of whether it's a good price.

I like Dunlop tyres fitted to Honda 500X there the same size, anyone know the rough price of them.

Anyone have other tyres in mind that will be OK,  Thanks

I put Dunlop Trailmax's on my 500X in Big Wing, about 8,500 for the pair. Same as fitted to the current 500X

Yeah there the ones.  Thanks " Trailmax "  couldn't remember the name,  maybe if l take just the wheels into Honda they will fit some for me.

They don't have them at Kawasaki.

Just take your bike, there's a service charge, so why not let them change the wheels

I'll ask Kawasaki if they can order a set, same old same old Thailand.

What kind of riding do you do?
The Scorpions are 90/10 but if you never hit the gravel why have the 10%?
When the Scorpions that came with my Versys wore out I replaced them with Pirelli Rossa II tires. Amazing for road work, sticky and shed water real well.

Road riding,  the place that does Pirelli gave me a price l was going for Dunlop cause there cheaper and not a bad tyre,  depends on how much Rossa are.

Check the year whatever tire you buy.  When I purchased a set of Pirelli for my versys, the dealer stuck a set on that had been sat 5 years.

Yeah thanks for that, l'm aware of stock piles.

If tyres are kept wrapped even at 5 years your tyres will last another 5 year so no worries.

Hope you got a discount maybe.

I have Pirreli MT40's on my 500x they are a good tyre and though I cannot remember what I paid for them it wasn't expensive, I had scorpion trails initially and prefer the MT40's to them

Thanks but l'm going for touring tyres,  gonna go Phitsanulok where the nearest decent motorcycle tyre shops and dealers are.

  • 3 weeks later...

Great result today a different Honda big-wing in Phitsanulok fitted a new set of Trailmax tyres for me today, saw them unwrapping them so can't be that old. :whistling:

Balanced & new valves @ 6,900 baht.

A big difference of quotes of other tyres at 12,900 +.

Look in at the new P/lock Kawasaki place and ask about 2 spotlights only 18,000 baht.

Look in at Bike villa in P/lock 2 spotlights + some wiring kit 6,500 + . :ermm:

What sort of price has anyone paid for front bike spots.
