Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha has exercised special powers under Section 44 of the interim constitution in his capacity as head of the National Council for Peace and Order to set up a panel tasked with upgrading the quality of education at university level to produce highly-capable personnel in various fields to meet the challenges of the Eastern Economic Corridor.

The upgrading of the quality of education at university level will hopefully make Thailand capable of competing with other countries in the region in terms of qualified personnel and competency to drive the EEC.

Can anyone explain why it needs Section 44 to set up a panel tasked with upgrading the quality of education at university level ?

You need the big stick amidst the mounts of carrots those rabbits dwell...

Tis the same old story repeated time and time again about how they intend, promise or insist on changes to the education system.  Nothing changes and nothing ever will because they don't want anything or anyone to upset the status quo that suits those in power.  This is Thailand 4.0

How easy to solve the problem......Find an appropriate name or degree for that update. maybe an update in cheating, corruption, stealing, killing, violence?????

In fact you will never end up at the same level as neighboring countries.
