BANGKOK: -- The world of Thai social media was shocked when pictures of a stray dog shot in the head appeared online.

And according to a security guard this was not the first time such an incident had happened.

The pictures came from a Facebook user called Wanisa Junjeua who told Daily News that she had been contacted by her sister after the animal was discovered in a soi in Taling Chan, Bangkok.

She rushed over and took the animal to a local vet after it was clear she was unable to help get the dart out of the creature's head.

She posted later that the cost of the operation to remove the dart would be at least 10,000 baht.

Wanisa said that a security guard told her that this was the second similar incident with a dart and a dog within the last few days.

Looks like an arrow from those el-cheapo cross-bows,  low powered, garaunteed to wound, not kill.

The kharma bus will arrive one day for the low life moron who did this. Next life to be lived as a worm.

10,000b to remove a dart...jeez..even dogs get scammed.

Wel done Wanisa Junjeua!

Good that this world can count on people like you.

'Stray dog'? Why not 'homeless dog' ?

Recently had my dog operated on 3.500 bt for cherry eye.. then a further 2.000 for medicine and other stuff. It ads up, not sure I was scammed or not I am just happy he is getting better.

10,000 baht to remove a bolt that seems to be lodged in his skull seems a good price
