Overstaying a couple of days

Featured Replies

Hi all I was just wondering the consequences of overstaying a couple of days , a friend of mine is in this position and to complicate things he is worried about also receiving a fine for non reporting after arriving in thailand as a home owner ,,his 30 day visa on arrival has just finished ,we presume he can just pay for a couple of days of overstay at the airport ,hopefully he will not be found on the way to the airport , thankyou

Moved to here.

He will pay a fine of 500 baht a day. No other consequences.

Departure immigration does not check for anything but the date on his entry stamp. Certainly not reporting of his stay at a residence.

If he is still within the 30 days why not go and get a 30 extension, 1900 baht and stop worrying about over stay.
