Inheritance documents and procedures for Foreigner

Recommended Posts

My Father recently passed away. He owned a condominium  and a car in Bangkok . I need some help on how to transfer it under my name. I have his death certificate checked by my embassy in Thailand confirming its solid. I also reside here and hold a valid non b visa and work permit. I have no idea how and where to go and what other documents to produce in order to transfer it to my name. If anyone have any information on how, where and what I need. Please let me know.

Was your father a Thai or a foreigner? Did he make a will, and if so, who was named as the Executor of his will?

You will need to engage a lawyer. The executor of his will would need to submit the will and other documents to the court.

If there is no written will, the lawyer will need more details of the deceased's family, like wife and all children. His assets would then be shared among them as determined by the court.
