Frenchman found dead in Phuket hotel room

PHUKET:-- Police are still investigating the death of a 66-year-old French national whose body as found in a Phuket hotel room yesterday afternoon (June 4).
 

Lt Col Jongserm Preecha of the Patong Police confirmed that he was notified of the man’s death by staff at the hotel in Kalim, north of Patong, at about 5pm.

“I arrived at the scene to find that the man* was staying in room number 123,” Col Jongserm said.

 

“The man’s body was lying on the sofa. The air conditioning, his mobile phone and laptop computer were all still turned on,” he said.

 

There no signs of a fight on the man’s body and no signs of a struggle in the room, Col Jongserm confirmed.
