Hey! 

wondering how straight forward it is to do a border run here? 

I've only done 1 border run before in Cambodia so I'm good for 1 more land crossing I think?

Easy to do a border hop there for another 30 day visa exempt entry. If you have done one already this year it will be your last one.

You will need a visa on arrival for Laos. The fee is $30 to $42 dependent upon you nationality or 1500 baht.
