webfact
Lock Box: Luggage storage service comes to Bangkok’s major train stations By Prae Sakaowan Photo: Courtesy of Lock Box BANGKOK: -- After all these years, Bangkok will finally have storage lockers at major train stations to accommodate travelers. Lock Box, a privately-run locker service, is set to launch at six more major train stations within two weeks. You may have seen the yellow lockers at Makkasan Airport Link station starting last year and recently noticed more and more lockers being installed near MRT and BTS exits. The good news is that Lock Box aims to complete its coverage at 14 more major train stations very soon, according to company CEO and Founder Ittichai Poolvaraluck. “It has been a year-long, ongoing process [to expand the service.] Our mission is ‘safe and easy’,” Ittichai told Coconuts, noting that Lock Box is the first locker service ever provided at Bangkok mass transit hubs. They just rent a box, take the key and copy it before returning the original key to the locker.
