imuran (azathioprine) Price?

Hello All

 

I need to take imuran  (azathioprine) and the best price I can find is 20 baht per 50mg tablet

 

I wonder if I can get it cheaper - I need to take 3 tablets a day

 

I'd be happy to get generic copies of azathioprine if they are notably cheaper

Imuran is I believe an imported 'Trade Name' drug - so will be relatively expensive. You could try asking for Azathioprine but you will likely get offered Imuran as none of the (few) 'generics' appear to be marketed in Thailand.

There aren't any locally made brands but there is one called Azadus which is made in India, should be much less expensive.  Distributor is Kaspa Pharma Tel (+66) 2411 6114/7 Email [email protected]

 

Another possibility is Imuprin brand, made by Remedia (Cyprus) likely cost more than the Indian brand but certainly less than Iumuran

If you're taking Imuran what are you going to do about regular blood tests?
