Ok Here we go

I'm building a house, it will have  2 bedrooms with 2x  9 Mitsubishi Inverter air cons both 9 btu, The lounge room will have a 24 btu air con.Bathrooms will have 2x 6kwmultipoint water heaters, kitchen will have a 6kw multilpoint water heater.,House lights will be led downlights 7w (not sure how many yet). Of course there will be water pump, washing machine, 2x 55 inch led tv's.

Where we are building, right next door some other people are building a mattress place we see all over the area. They approached my wife, said do we want to go half in the costs of the box (transformer)which would save us both money, l asked them how many amps and they said 30 at 15 amps each. l don't know what any of that means but i'm worried it won't be enough.

Can anybody give me some advice on this .

Thanks

Sounds like they are talking about the meter, but no matter what DO NOT share any utility.  Suggest you plan for a big wall on that side of your property.

For your plans, you could probably go with a "15/45" meter or perhaps a "30/100".  The higher number is "maximum" demand in amps.

If you both go to PEA office at the same time they may even suggest that, if it is common practice. Go and see.

But of course, you need separate meters.

Without knowing what power is avaiable atthe pole on the street it's difficult to say.

It could be that PEA/MEA has told the mattress place that in order to get the power that they need for their new building, they will have to purchase a transformer,.  It could be that they are trying to "sucker" you into sharing the cost, they're not cheap, of the transformer which you would need if the current available power is sufficient for your house!!

You will need your own meter not matter what, either a 15/45 or 30/100 single phase.
