Angkor Air strikes four codeshare deals and got certification

Featured Replies

Cambodia’s national flag carrier Angkor Air has reached deals on codesharing with a local airline and three international carriers. The company signed the deals last Friday with local Bassaka Airline and international carriers T’Way Airlines, All Nippon Airways and Lao Airlines.

The move will allow the airlines to share flights on different routes, giving passengers the opportunity to book flights to more destinations. The codeshare deals came after Angkor Air was awarded IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification, confirming the carrier is compliant with international quality and safety standards.

Cambodia Angkor Air vice CEO Lim Kao said the codeshares will help passengers, particularly those who want to travel to destinations outside of Angkor Air flight routes. Under the partnerships, the carrier will be able to sell flights to destinations as far afield as Europe and the United States.
