Pattaya continues all-talk, no-action policy on Koh Larn trash crisis

PATTAYA:--Pattaya officials again checked out Koh Larn’s garbage problem, but did nothing to solve it other than promise more talks later.

Former Chonburi Gov. Pracha Taerat, an official with the Interior Ministry who acts as an advisor to Pattaya’s mayor, led a city delegation to the island July 27 to see the resort island’s trash surplus for themselves and quiz sanitation workers on the scale of the problem.

One thing local administration people do well is talk.....albeit total nonsense.!

Raises an interesting question, How many stupid people are needed to solve a relatively simple problem? Other places outside Thailand with far more visitors seem to be able to manage.

Coming soon! Koh Larn 2.

Made possible by Koh Larn and all the talks...

Obviously you dont understand Thainess (When you do cant you explain it to me........please)

Well Koh Larn is falling well behind Koh Samui in the "trash surplus" race......Koh Samui has a 250,000 tonne 3 story mountain of trash....C'mon Koh larn...C'mon...C'mon.......you are currently running 2nd.......somebody's  gotta be first

They prefer to clean up the gambling dens rather than the resort's trash problem.

Weather's nice, let's go to Koh Larn for the day and have a chat, then a lot of seafood. If we like it we can go back another day. Somebody else pays!

Just saw a TV program on Spain the other day they seem to have made it work nice clean beaches and water that passed all the tests and many more people visit there in a month than local in a year

Wouldn't it make a refreshing change if someone in authority were to look at a problem; say here is the solution; start fixing it this afternoon?  Maybe Pattaya tunnel would have opened last year.
