NAKHON PATHOM: -- A 19-year-old university freshman is under arrest for allegedly shooting a senior in a school restroom on Thursday.

Apichart Sermsin, 19, a first-year student at Rajabhat Nakhon Pathom University, was arrested at his mother’s house in Nakhon Pathom’s Mueang district.

He is charged with shooting and wounding Natthawut Singsorn, 20, a third-year student.

Natthawut was shot in the back of the neck at point blank range while washing his face in the restroom.

The suspect allegedly then returned to class, eventually completing his day’s studies.

Police said a CCTV camera recorded Apichart entering the restroom soon after Natthawut did.

They claim Apichart admitted to shooting his fellow student with a .38 calibre revolver, saying it was in response to the senior giving him a contemptuous look.

Police said Apichart has in the past been treated for a mental disorder and has been living with his mother, who is a police officer.

They said he prefers being on his own and has no friends, and that eye contact with others can make him agitated.

So why let him integrate with the wider community IE University ? Especially if he has access to a deadly weapon ?? The mind boggles.

Eye contact makes him agitated.

I guess several lecturers are scurrying to see what marks they've given this peanut for assignments and mid-term so far.

You could be wandering in the forest and never see the tiger in the bamboo grove until he's got you.

How in hell could he be allowed access to a gun?
