August 7, 20179 yr Just to confirm (there are several posts on this, but need to confirm). I have been married nearly ten years and want to divorce my wife. There is no drama. No cheating, new partners etc. The spark has just faded away. No kids, no property etc. in Thailand. We have been in practice separated 1,5 years and have prenuptial agreement (original copy in Amphur). I guess only thing need to do is to go to the Amphur with passport+copy of it and sign the papers. I will leave her our car and a lum sum of money (which I probably do not need to do, but will). I probably need to change my used ID from samii as well :). Sent from my iPhone using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
August 8, 20179 yr Confirmed. Divorce is easy if you and your wife agree, especially if there is little to fight over. Just give the Amphur a call first to check what documents they need. Normally your passport, her ID and a copy of her house book and both original copies of your marriage certificate. Also ask about witnesses. You can normally pay a couple of motorcycle taxi guys to sign for you.

Best to actually go to the amphur to ask them what they require, and get the documents translated so you know what you are signing. Edited August 11, 20179 yr by thaibeachlovers
