DSD enhances skills of tourism personnel to accommodate growing tourism industry

BANGKOK, 14 August 2017 (NNT) - Mr. Theeraphol Khunmuang, Director-General of the Department of Skill Development (DSD), has disclosed that Skill Development Institute along with the private sector and tourism operators had cooperated to train personnel for the tourism industry.

Over 90,393 people had received training from the program, a number which exceeds the targeted figure.

Participants included people working in existing tourism businesses and people who are new to the industry. The program offers over 1,000 courses, while all courses are focused on both training quality and standards.

The DSD Director-General also said that interested individuals can contact the Skill Development Institutes and Skill Development Offices nationwide or visit www.dsd.go.th.

Recently, the Satun Skill Development Office organized training for tourism personnel from the Lestegodon cave rower group, a major attraction located at Satun Geological Park.
