snoop1130
Daniel Craig confirms he will return as James Bond Actor Daniel Craig poses for photographers on the red carpet at the Mexican premiere of the new James Bond 007 film "Spectre" in Mexico City, November 2, 2015. REUTERS/Ginnette Riquelme/File Photo LONDON (Reuters) - British actor Daniel Craig has confirmed he will reprise the role of James Bond one last time, ending months of speculation. Craig made the revelation during an appearance on the U.S. TV programme "The Late Show" on Tuesday. Asked by host Stephen Colbert whether he would return as James Bond, Craig responded: "Yes", to cheers from the audience. Craig has appeared four times as the spy with a taste for martini: in "Casino Royale", "Quantum of Solace", "Skyfall" and "Spectre". Eon Productions, the company that runs the movie franchise, said on its website that the 25th Bond movie would be released in U.S. cinemas on Nov. 8, 2019, with a traditional early release in Britain and the rest of the world. Asked by Colbert whether he would appear in any further Bond movies after that one, Craig said no. "I think this is it. I just want to go out on a high note and I can't wait," he said. Rc2702
Danny craggy face best be getting a time machine as his make up artist. He looked old in the last one but yes he is a very good bond but I suspect the franchise has just flapped it choosing a new guy.

Andrew Dwyer
Good news IMO , i liked him in Skyfall and Spectre and put him up there as one of the best Bonds , plus, don't like all this continually changing the actor, it's almost as bad as Dr Who !! Bit harsh that Andy I mean it's not like they swap them over too much and it would be interesting to see who can play bond as well as craggy face and it's got to happen and possibly should have already. TallGuyJohninBKK
Connery will always be my favorite Bond... But Pierce Brosnan was pleasant, albeit shorter-lived (four films only) compared to six (?) by Connery. He was a complete cheeseball but brosnan in the Taylor of Panama was cool and some of his Kate work was pretty good too. He plays a good villain and his debonair worked in that Thomas crown film. bendejo
What they really need to do is come up with a good villain. They've been getting some good actors to play them but the characterizations have been disappointing IMO. After seeing Robert Carlyle as the psychopath Begbie in Trainspotting I thought he'd be great, but as the villain in The World is Not Enough, meh. Their villains these days come off too much like comic book bad guys. My fave villains were Dr No and Goldfinger ("No Mr Bond, I expect you to DIE!"). Fave Bond flick From Russia With Love. What, it's from more than 50 years ago? Nahhh, can't be. Maybe they should bring Brosnan in as the villain, a soft-spoken madman...

The cheeseball aspect had to go I'm pleased and yes brosnan was less cheesy but we're talking about some very different times. Bond was in desperate need of a revamp and the cheese was the victim
Trouble
I guess it is just my opinion but with Daniel Craig came a change in the Bond character. I don't blame him as he probably just follows the script and direction, but some how the levity of the Bond character disappeared. There used to be a tongue-in-cheek humor to the Bond movies but that seems to be gone now. Guess just a difference of opinion in what was good about the Bond movies. I kind of liked the cheeseball aspect. Edited August 16, 2017 by Trouble

Please don't hate me but i actually liked Roger Moore but he was the bond of my youth Until Daniel Craig came on the scene i was becoming quite disillusioned with all the James bond actors and films However he was looking very old in the last film, unable to carry off the cheesy lines that they put in, and not a very good film to boot

MHO, Moore took it over the top to the point of being silly at times, but perhaps that was a reflection of the times. But the comparatively humorless Craig characters did indeed leave me feeling like I was missing something. .

I agree this has nothing to do with James Bond anymore they made him a Jason Bourne clone, cold as ice, no humor whatsoever and extreme violence but hey.... it's what people want these days ! darkness, gloom and doom. We don't need a tormented character. We wanna see Bond.... Gone are the days when those movies were FUN to watch ....

RobFord
Sean Connery for me. He had it all. Tough, funny and always got the girl. Without him it never would have become a franchise. The only reason he quit was Broccoli paid peanuts. Craig is a close second though. I'd seen him in Layer Cake and knew he'd make a great 007. Craig does have the acting chops. The others were too much like male models. Good article on Craig. "Bond’s producers regularly say they are returning to basics, or bringing out a darker edge, but Craig really supplied it: the opening sequence where he batters Darwin Shaw in a toilet was by far the nastiest scene Bond had ever committed to celluloid. The other guys, it was immediately clear, just wore the suit; this one was scarily real." https://www.theguardian.com/film/2017/aug/16/daniel-craig-james-bond-spectre-skyfall-new-film Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect
