I currently have insurance that specially excludes the United States.  I'm looking for suggestions for "Trip Insurance" that will cover me for a two or three week stay in the US and that has repatriation coverage / medevac coverage that will get me to a hospital outside of the US if needed.

Check out AIG Travel Insurance. You can pay on their website. Reasonable coverage and prices for the US visits home.

If you  are a US citizen beware that many policies will not cover a US citizen visiting the US even if residing permanently elsewhere.

In 2014 I paid a modest fee for a BUPA travel medical policy to cover me in the USA, I did not have any illness, so I can speak of how a claim is handled. Worth checking the BUPA Thailand web site or to contact your independent insurance broker or a BUPA office in Thailand.
