Supreme Court upholds life imprisonment for 4 suspects in grenade attack

The Supreme Court has upheld life imprisonment handed down by two lower courts on four suspects found guilty of firing M79 grenades with a launcher into a large crowd of protesters at the rally of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) in Ratchadamri area on Feb 23, 2014.

 

Three people, including a six-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy, were killed in the incident, while 21 others were injured, nine of them seriously.

 

The Supreme Court’s verdict was read on Tuesday (Aug 22) at Bangkok South Criminal Court.
