Appointment of new police generals deferred to Aug 30

 

 

BANGKOK, 25 August 2017 (NNT) – According to the National Police Chief, the meeting to consider the appointment of new police generals has been rescheduled for August 30. 

Pol Gen Chakthip Chaijinda, Royal Thai Police Commissioner-General, presided over the National Police Board meeting on behalf of Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwon, who was on duty elsewhere. 

However, after the hour-long meeting, the Police Chief made known that no discussion was made on the annual appointment of police generals. He said the agenda was postponed to August 30 while expressing no concern over the procedure as it will still be finished within the set timeframe. 

Pol Gen Chakthip said the Prime Minister has not emphasized anything in particular in regard to the selection of new police generals and only suggested that the matter be handled with the utmost discretion.

Thai Beverage will be watching with interest to see to which new boys they will be paying the regular 50,000 baht monthly "services" fee. Just like they pay Police Lt. General Sanit Mahathavorn.

Surely if it's good enough for a Police Lt. General then it's reasonable to assume it is good enough for full blown Police Generals.

They'll need much longer than that if they want to find honest ones

More Generals, why? Some have 'retired' have they? Seems to be more chiefs than indians!

They're setting up a fresh auction. And checking that there is room for more of the same.

according to wiki, 1200; to go along with the 500 admirals; thailand has more generals than the usa + china combined ! what do they all do ? and i am SURE thailand needs 500 admirals

Why has it been deferred until the 30th ??

Easy to answer, the size of the envelopes not big enough, so give applicants more time  to stuff more money in.
