The conviction and the sentencing of 6 months was for 'violating the dignity of the court' or in legal terms 'contempt of court'. Not for bribery which is normally involves prosecution and trial and carries a much serious and longer jail term if found guilty. Contempt in some cases can get off with a contempt citation by the court with an apology. Get your facts right.

Doesn't take an expert to know the electoral majority in Thailand. One simply needs to check previous election results (e.g. Yingluck won 265 out of 500 seats or Thaksin won 375 out of 500 seats etc. etc.) Or one could simply question why it is Junta constitutions always move away from democracy rather than towards it. As for the thai judiciary... you seriously want to defend its impartiality and it's adherence to blind justice, if so, good luck to you (in the tiny, tiny minority)
