Israel's Ben-Gvir Plans To Remove All Palestinians From Gaza

Israel’s far-right national security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, has outlined a plan to expel all Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and send them abroad, as campaigning ramps up ahead of elections in Israel.

Ben-Gvir’s Gaza Emigration Proposal

Ben-Gvir said the proposal, developed through his party, Jewish Power, would start by removing 250,000 Palestinians from Gaza in its first year. He added that the remaining population of about 2 million would be sent away over the following six years.

Speaking in the run-up to the tightly fought vote, Ben-Gvir described the idea as “realistic”, saying there were countries that were ready to take in Palestinians from Gaza, without identifying them.

His plan is set out in a 20-page document titled “National Work Plan for Voluntary Emigration from the Gaza Strip”. Despite the wording, Ben-Gvir’s stated objective is to remove Gaza’s Palestinian population, and the coercive nature of any such plan would be a key concern for the international community given the conditions in the territory and the minister’s explicit intent.

Under international law, the forced displacement of civilians in occupied territory is considered a war crime under the Geneva Conventions.

Reactions And Us Administration Ceasefire Talks

Ben-Gvir’s comments came as Israel’s political debate over Gaza has grown more aggressive, with Israeli leaders rejecting a ceasefire initiative sought by US President Donald Trump amid continued Israeli attacks.

Ben-Gvir said Jewish Power would press for a “ministry in charge of emigration” if it enters government, calling the plan “concrete”.

Earlier this year, an independent UN inquiry said Israel was committing genocide by deliberately targeting Palestinian children in Gaza.

The minister’s remarks also followed comments by Israel’s defence minister, Israel Katz, who said Israel was seeking US approval to displace Palestinians from Gaza. Katz said any such step was still under discussion after Trump had “frozen” it.

At the start of his second term, Trump faced widespread international condemnation after suggesting that all 2 million Palestinians leave Gaza and that the US redevelop the territory. Trump later walked back the proposal.

Netanyahu Says Israel Will Not Withdraw

With elections scheduled for October, Ben-Gvir has made a series of inflammatory interventions aimed at his far-right base. These have included posting footage showing Palestinians convicted of lethal attacks by Israeli military courts being due to be executed, while also drawing attention to the absence of comparable actions for Jewish extremists accused of similar crimes. He has also shared videos about mistreatment of Palestinian prisoners held by Israeli authorities.

Polling has suggested Jewish Power would win about seven seats.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited a military outpost in Gaza to say Israel would not withdraw from areas it occupies. He said Israel would remain on its current line, adding that it was “eliminating the terrorists” and doing so “day in and day out”.

Israel’s deputy chief of general staff, Maj Gen Tamir Yadai, said Israel now controls 65% of Gaza. The figure is higher than 53% agreed under a ceasefire brokered last year by Trump.

Separately, Ben-Gvir has called for the deportation of two Members of Knesset and others, describing them as “disloyal to the state of Israel”, including Jews, and said he would push for such a policy if he is included in the next government.

I hope this doesn't surprise anyone. This is what Zionists have wanted to do since 1947.

About 20% of Israel's population is muslim. They live in peace, have steady work and security. They don't complain. You are a bigot.

I was writing about Israel. Should change your last name.

The country of Israel was created in 1947 by the UN by dividing up the land then called Palestine between Jews and Palestinians, who were mainly Arabs and Muslims. I refer to the entire region as Palestine, which includes Israel and the land that did not formally include Israel. Now, Israel has taken almost all of the land of Palestine by force.

My last name was already changed when I was about one year old.

Thanks for that concise summary.

Ben Gvir is just telling the truth, and it cuts through the fog of Zionist obfuscation that would have peope believe otherwise.

Before 1947, the overall population of Palestine was closer to 60% Muslim, with Christians making up about 8% to 10% and Jews making up about 30%

History will remember Francesca Paola Albanese as a consistent teller of the uncomfortable truth, the world has refused to confront when it comes to the sustained abhorrent behaviour of the longstanding apartheid state of Israel.

Its persistent invocation of the murder of six million Jews at the hands of the Nazis as a free pass to commit genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza the West Bank and the occupied territories, is an insult to those who perished.

Those who perished along with the never mentioned 5 million, Polish, Russian and Slavic prisoners held in the camps, along with Romas, Santos, the disabled, homosexuals and political prisoners and religious minorities, all who have been eased from the Holocaust narrative.

Ms Albanese has often been the lone voice in a sea of state sponsored complicity in this unprecedented modern day act of genocide, and has relentlessly refused to be silenced by an Israeli government intoxicated with vengeful retribution on a biblical scale.

Her dedication to speaking out for the unheard voices of the tens of thousands of innocent Palestinian women and children, is testament to who she is as a person and her dedication to speak up for the silent voices that are silenced daily by monsters intent on pursuing the Greater Israel Project as some religious crusade.

History WILL record this as an act of genocide however much those complicit in these crimes against humanity committed by the alleged ‘most moral army in the world’, choose to deny it.

It will remain an indelible stain on the Israeli government and by association the Israeli people forever. While I am cognisant that not all Jews support the genocidal actions of their government, unfortunately far too many polls indicate that a large percentage of them openly support what is being done in their name.

Sometimes the truth can be uncomfortable, but it has to be spoken and I have not stopped telling it from the outset, long after personally condemning the actions of Hamas who carried out the barbaric war crimes against innocent Israelis on October 7 2023, a statement later supported by the International Criminal Court. The same Criminal Court that has correctly indicted Benjamin Netanyahu for the same war crimes.

@Francesca Albanese is the true hero of this story, because despite persistent threats to her life and her safety, she will not be silenced. I salute her for her relentless pursuit of justice for the innocent Palestinians murdered in what has become a vengeful religious crusade.
