Trump Dismisses USS Lincoln Concerns as 'CNN Fake Report’

President Donald Trump has rejected reports about poor conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, calling concerns about the aircraft carrier a “CNN fake report” as questions grow over the wellbeing of sailors deployed in the Middle East.

Trump Rejects Reports

Trump made the comments on Monday during an exchange with reporters in the Oval Office. After a CNN reporter questioned him, Trump told her to be quiet and accused her of being disrespectful before another journalist asked whether sailors aboard the Lincoln had enough food.

“Yeah, it was a CNN fake report,” Trump said, arguing that the carrier had been deployed for a long time but had remained away from home for longer periods in the past.

Trump said a retired general had told him the Lincoln was “beautifully maintained and beautifully taken care of”. He added that other people had visited the carrier and reached the same conclusion, describing CNN’s coverage as “fake news reporting”.

Democrats Share Food Photo

Democratic members of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee responded on social media by posting a photograph of a meal said to have been served aboard the carrier. The image showed diced carrots, a hamburger patty and what lawmakers described as “a gray slab of processed meat”.

The photograph, which did not carry a caption, was first published by USA Today.

CNN correspondent Pamela Brown reported last week on conditions aboard the Lincoln after an official said a sailor had gone overboard while wearing a vest. The Navy said the incident was considered a mental health episode.

Other recent reports have described problems aboard the aircraft carrier, including moldy showers and spoiled food. They have also reported that several sailors had attempted to jump overboard.

Navy Addresses Mental Health Concerns

Navy leaders have reportedly met with relatives of sailors serving aboard the Lincoln as concerns increased that the lengthy Middle East deployment could worsen mental health conditions and increase the risk of self-harm.

Adm. Brad Cooper, the head of US Central Command, visited the Lincoln on Saturday, a day after acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao announced that the carrier was returning home.

Cooper acknowledged that life aboard an aircraft carrier can be difficult and stressful. In a statement on Sunday, he said mental health should receive attention alongside physical and spiritual health.

He also praised the Lincoln’s leadership, particularly senior enlisted leaders, for making mental health and crew resilience a priority.

Long Deployment Draws Scrutiny

The Lincoln had remained deployed in the Middle East for more than 260 days, longer than initially expected. The carrier left San Diego in November as the United States prepared for the war involving Iran.

Retired Adm. Mike Mullen, a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said on ABC News’s “This Week” on Sunday that he had “great concern” about conditions aboard the ship.

Mullen said the Lincoln’s commanding officer, Capt. Daniel Keeler, was working hard to address the problems. But he added that he believed “the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.”

If he’s calling it fake news, we know it’s true!

Not as fake as his tan and toupee, his bone spurs and his assassination attempts.

Still can't see any scar tissue on that ear. Let's not forget that a fireman was sacrificed in that stage play. I can only imagine what sacrifices he's willing to let the military make on his behalf for his personal gains in this stoush with Iran.

What a leader!!!

Good job there not Submariners then no windows or decks to run around if your bored, only way you find what day it is is the food servered that day such as friday, its fish n chips, thursday a Curry. If the Submariners flipped out like the Abe Lincoln they would be asking to be fired out of a Torpeado tube to the surface. They can't surface because the fresh fruits running low prob live out of tins.

When a very tiny, stupid man who has absolutely no concept of truth and no relationship with truth finds himself backed into a corner, due to incredibly reckless, dumb, thoughtless and poorly planned policy, his best weapon is denial.

While Little Pete is busy ordering tens of millions of dollars worth of lobster and crab for himself and his buddies, the guys on the aircraft carriers are going hungry, dealing with overflowing toilets, incredible fatigue and stress from being away from their families and offshore for so long.

When Trump said I don't care about the financial well-being of Americans, he might as well also have said I don't care about the well-being of my soldiers, it just doesn't mean anything to me, and it means even less to Pete.

Trump is gutter trash and he needs to be removed from office as soon as possible. Donald Trump is a National Security emergency.

The Asia-based USS George Washington aircraft carrier has arrived in the Middle East to relieve USS Abraham Lincoln following reports of mental health struggles and supply shortages aboard the warship supporting the Iran conflict.

U.S. Central Command confirmed Thursday that the carrier arrived in the region on Wednesday. It remains unclear when the USS Lincoln will return to the U.S. or if it will make a port stop during the journey, which takes slightly over a month.

The Washington joins the USS George H.W. Bush in the Middle East, leaving Asia without an American carrier strike group as China shows increasing signs of aggression.

While the lack of a U.S. carrier in the Pacific may be short-lived if another deploys in the coming months, analysts say these open-ended operations with Iran are exhausting sailors while the Trump administration retreats further from the Asia-Pacific region to concentrate on the Western Hemisphere.

SURE there's a cure.

"Leaving a high-control political movement or personality-driven group involves recognizing manipulation, shifting your information diet, and rebuilding a sense of community outside that ecosystem. It is a gradual, personal process of reclaiming independent critical thinking and self-trust.

Recognize the Dynamics, Understand undue influence: Acknowledge how high-control groups use psychological tactics, fear, and us-versus-them thinking to override independent judgment.

Identify emotional hooks: Notice how the group feeds on grievances, a sense of protection, or identity validation, replacing personal responsibility with group dogma.

Allow self-compassion: Do not shame yourself for past beliefs; intelligent people can be caught up in sophisticated propaganda and social pressure.

Change Your Information and Social Environment, Diversify your media diet: Step back from constant exposure to single-source, highly polarized news, commentary loops, or social media algorithms designed to outrage.

Seek alternative perspectives: Look for neutral fact-checking tools or broad, non-partisan historical information to test claims against objective reality.

Find a new community: Engage with local groups, hobbies, volunteer organizations, or supportive faith communities focused on service and personal growth rather than partisan politics.

Rebuild and Recover, Practice independent thinking: Pause before reacting to sensational claims and ask yourself what evidence supports them.

Connect with outside support: Talk to therapists, counselors, or peer support spaces that specialize in deprogramming, undue influence, or cult recovery. Users on platforms like Reddit often point to independent recovery networks and resources like Leaving MAGA for shared stories and guidance on disengaging."

MAGA is a dying breed. Look it up, numbers don't lie.

Yes, it's definitely not a cult. I wouldn't be worried if I was one. 555
