Trump Pushes Kennedy for Deeper Vaccine Cuts

Donald Trump is pushing Robert F. Kennedy Jr, the US health secretary, to cut vaccines more aggressively, according to reporting by the Wall Street Journal.

Kennedy, who leads the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), has previously been a leading critic of vaccination. The latest push comes after the White House put a hold on vaccine-schedule changes following polling that suggested they were a losing issue in the midterm elections.

White House Weighs Vaccine Changes Against Politics

The Journal said Trump wants Kennedy to make deeper cuts to the US vaccination schedule. It reported that the president raised the issue during a visit to Kennedy’s golf course in northern Virginia in May, asking whether the health secretary had the “yips”.

Trump also questioned, the Journal reported, whether Kennedy had been making enough reductions to vaccination recommendations.

Earlier in the process, the White House stopped changing vaccine recommendations after internal polling indicated that anti-vaccine moves would not play well with voters. The Journal also reported that Trump hopes “alleviating autism” will be part of his legacy and has taken issue with the pace of vaccine changes in recent months.

Polling Tracked Anti-Vaccine Risks In Swing Districts

Tony Fabrizio, a senior pollster for Trump, concluded in a December memo that scepticism towards vaccine requirements was politically risky for both parties, the Journal reported. Separately, the Rolling Stone reported that Susie Wiles had set a New Year’s Eve deadline for HHS to make changes so that vaccine policy would fade from view ahead of the midterms.

Despite those concerns, Trump’s priorities appeared to shift after the polling findings. Two days after the Fabrizio memo, the president issued a directive for HHS to align US vaccination recommendations with those of “peer” nations, even though the US was already making similar recommendations to other countries, the Journal said.

Kennedy Cuts The Routine Schedule, Then Judge Steps In

The impact of Kennedy’s policies was swift. The Journal said he cut the routine childhood immunisation schedule by one-third, reducing it from 17 recommended vaccines to 11.

A federal judge ordered a halt to the changes after a lawsuit filed in March by the American Academy of Pediatrics. The judge also paused the work of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), which he said had been illegally formed under Kennedy, according to the Journal. Kennedy has not made further significant changes to the schedule since the court order, while the US government appealed the judge’s stay.

Autism Research, Executive Actions And Vaccine Backlash

Kennedy has continued to speak about autism and possible causes, and the administration has linked the vaccine issue to that broader effort. The Journal reported that Trump issued an executive order in May urging HHS to change vaccine recommendations, and Reuters reported that Kennedy sought to divert $5bn in funding—more than 10% of the National Institutes of Health budget—towards research on vaccines and autism.

Other researchers and medical groups dispute a link between vaccines and autism. Decades of studies into autism’s causes point overwhelmingly to genetics, and dozens of studies have found no connection between vaccines and autism, the article said.

Kush Desai, a White House spokesperson, did not dispute details reported by the Journal in a statement to the Guardian. He said the administration was responding to parents of autistic children who had “questions and concerns”, adding that those concerns had long been ignored or mocked.

HHS spokesperson Emily Hilliard said Kennedy and Trump were “aligned” in addressing what she called a “chronic disease epidemic affecting America’s children”. She said HHS would continue “evidence-based research” into the causes of autism and other chronic diseases.

In comments reported by the article, Paul Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, said Trump has held an anti-vaccine position for years and that his approach makes him unlikely to dismiss Kennedy despite rumours of leadership change. Offit also linked the administration’s stance to public health outcomes, saying measles and other diseases have surged, with measles at its highest rate in 30 years and increased deaths from whooping cough, flu and tetanus in recent years.

When are these Med Beds coming on line? Then vaccines are dead.

All very fishy..........I'm beginning to think they don't really exist......or it's billionaires only getting them.

It’s very hard to prove what and if a vaccine or a drug actually caused a disease.

The vaccine or a drug is not often the CAUSE of a disease, but may merely trigger it in someone who is genetically destined to develop it anyway.

You have probably heard about Angelina Jolie who had her breasts removed due to her carrying the BRAC gene. This gene makes her susceptible to breast cancer. However, without triggering the gene she might not have developed breast cancer in any way.

Our bodies are not a sum of parts, we are an ecosystem of endless loops and systems working together. Our cells signal to each other all the time, the communication is as fast as the speed of light. Drugs and toxins interfere or block this communication - that’s why they work or at times that’s why they fail and give us terrible side effects or even kill us.

Each and every one of us is unique, and how we tolerate toxins depends on our internal make-up. We have our immune systems that may be strong or faulty. Infants and the elderly are particularly sensitive to toxins. A very good immune system should, in theory protect you from most diseases! And yet, each time we take a vaccine, use drugs and yes, even Pharma drugs - we are knowingly feeding our bodies with toxins. These toxins are supposed to help us, but in many cases - they don’t. We don’t really know how many people are badly affected because many side effects show up as something completely unrelated.

Think of a forest, how the eco system works there. The birds that eat the berries from trees, how they dump the seeds to the ground. Other animals eat the young growth - ants carry away debris. Fungi live in rotten wood and breaks it down to fertile soil. And the cycle continues. Any one of the peripheral parts of this system that malfunctions, it will affect the whole ecosystem.

This is how our body works as well. Keep on poisoning it, there will be disbalance , ie lack of homeostasis. When the body is not in homeostasis it can’t thrive. We will always have inflammation in the body, our healthy immune system takes care of this. it’s called REDOX.

So before you ridicule Johnh or me for that matter - maybe learn a bit more about health and the body, humbly so. Vaccines/drugs are not simple choices. Many times we calculate the risk is less taking the vaccine than getting the disease - but for some - it’s not that simple. And, as already mentioned it’s actually hard to determine exactly how damaging they actually are. On top of it, vaccines happen to be the blockbuster of profits for the pharma industry. They stand to lose astronomical amounts of money if interest in vaccines faded. MSM is not going to inform you either, they rely on the advertising income from the same industry.

Very sensible and accurate presentation, not a rant. Thank you.

Written nicely, but...

No medication or vaccine ever offers an absolute, 100% guarantee of complete efficacy or total freedom from side effects.

However, pharmaceutical research must factor in statistical probabilities of success. This is also known as a risk-benefit assessment.

The following are NOT verified figures; they are simply intended to illustrate how pharmaceutical research ultimately has to approach such problems.

If a medication or vaccine prevents the deaths of 100,000 people but causes the deaths of 1,000, the situation is devastating for those individuals and their families.

Yet, 99,000 people are able to go on living.

Or one can say - drink raw milk, take some vitamins etc.pp. and from the 100'000 only 2'000 die.

Or 20'000, or 50'000...

I don't want to defend the pharmaceutical industry. But I guess you understand my point.

I understand what you are saying. What I’m trying to convey is that we don’t know what expressions our genes show. We don’t go for genetic testing of every possible quirk in our DNA. So when we are vaccinated we really don’t know IF we may be one of the persons having a possible DNA abnormality - neither can vaccines be tested for every single possible DNA problem either.

I believe each and every time we insert a toxin to our body, obviously our immune system reacts. Will the next vaccination set off an unexpected immunity reaction? Will it be the 4th or 10th vaccine that does it - or will it never happen? Each time a toxin enters the body the immune system becomes occupied with dealing with it. This means there is less of the immune system to take care of its daily chores. Ok, it’s a short while - but in some people (more often, I believe than we think we know) there becomes an opportunistic window for a problem to start - which can/could start a domino cascade of undesirable consequences. That’s a risk, we as individuals take when we accept to be vaccinated. I also think that giving infants several different vaccines on the same day is crazy, toxin overload.

I have a small uncomfortable hunch that this is being downplayed somewhat by the industry.

To answer what you wrote,

Yes, I understand that, however it’s not amusing when YOU happen to be one of the rare persons with the debilitating side effect! In such a case, it really doesn’t matter to you how rare it is 😂

I see this as a horrible way to cut costs. Routine childhood vaccines are mostly free or subsidized by the federally funded Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program. I believe the program costs around $5 billion per annum. The program covers all recommended immunizations for children 18 and under if they are uninsured, underinsured, eligible for Medicaid, or part of a Native American treaty.

Most Americans will still vaccinate their children and if their health insurance plans don't pay for it, they will do so out of their own pocket. The people who are opposed to vaccines are not going to vaccinate their kids whether the vaccine schedule is in place or not.

The measles crisis is pushing the USA to third world status, and yet none of the people pushing their anti vaccine agenda wants to take responsibility for that crisis.

I like your post and I am in my 78th year now and when I was a kid in the late 40s and early 50s, I had the usual round of vaccinations as was the norm in the UK at that time, namely: – measles, mumps, rubella vaccine (MMR), polio, whooping cough, diphtheria and tuberculosis, and possibly others?.

Throughout my life I've had many tetanus jabs, a yellow fever vaccination and a gammaglobulin vaccination before going to Nigeria and a couple of others which I can't recall the names of right now, and also the three Covid vaccinations here......

So far I've had no adverse reactions to all of the injections/vaccinations I've had and I think it's a bit late to start worrying about it now anyway, so listen to the science rather than those who would promote UV light and bleach, that's my advice.

Quote by Lawrence O’Donnell:

Republican senators disgraced themselves today, attacking the man who saved lives, possibly millions of lives during the COVID-19 outbreak. The man who helped speed the development of a vaccine because of the research that he had led and supported on exactly that kind of virus for years before the outbreak of the pandemic in anticipation of exactly the kind of pandemic that hit the world in 2020.

...

And not one senator in that room today did one thing to save a single life during the COVID-19 pandemic. Not one of them. But they lined up to get their COVID-19 vaccine shots as soon as they possibly could, and they never thanked Dr. Fauci for helping speed the development of that vaccine.”

Oh, great. We have the totally incompetent, ignorant dope Kennedy now being advised by the even worse Trump. For the equally ignorant poster in favor of limiting vaccines, my Dad would have loved to have had a polio vaccine. It wasn't available when he was a child and he got polio. He was bedridden for about a year and the polio left one leg being shorter and weaker--but he was lucky that he survived, could still walk, and mostly live a normal life--some fared far worse. We are already seeing the effects of Kennedy's horrible policies with measles on the rise. Likely more bad to come with these idiots in charge.

please tell me many millions of people died in AFRICA , you know, the continent that did not get any or very few COVID vax ... did many die of covid ?

ah it's useless as the same people were shouting to anti vaxxers that they were killing grandma

if grandma got the shot , she was safe... oh wait, it did not work well for them old timers as the immune system goes down with age...

Africa recorded roughly 175,500 to 258,000 officially reported direct COVID-19 deaths, accounting for about 2.5% to 3% of the global total. In contrast, the rest of the world recorded over 6.75 million direct deaths, making up the remaining 97% of the global toll of over 7 million confirmed fatalities

Data tracked by the Africa CDC COVID-19 Vaccine Dashboard highlights the following breakdown of Africa's continent-wide vaccination effort:

Vaccine Distribution Metrics

  • Total Doses Received: 1,137.4 million doses

  • Total Doses Administered: 1,084.5 million doses

  • Utilization Rate: 95.3% of received doses have been successfully used

  • Fully Vaccinated Coverage: 51.8% of the continent's population has completed the primary vaccination series. [1, 2, 3]
