What is an illegal immigrant ? Coming over on a boat is not illegal in itself, if they land and claim asylum they are NOT illegal, visa or not, also 'Illegal' immigration is a relatively low percentage of all immigration.

Only partially true, legal refugees can claim assistance however the 'channel Hopper's' do not. Social security benefits.
