I will be arriving on 20th April at 4.30pm and was wondering if there was a bus to Pattaya sometime after that. I've tried the timetable site but it's written in Thai. Can someone please help?

Do you know if they have a similar schedule to what they had at Don Muang (i.e. 3-4 buses per day that went directly from the airport to Pattaya) ?

Bus is run by Bell Travel...........they do a run at 6pm from the airport to Pattaya,i landed at 5pm earlier this month and made the bus so you should be ok.

You could email them or when you land give the girl who accompanies the bus to Pattaya a ring on her mobile 0816204703...........you will need to go down a level from arrivals and the bus normally stands outside exit door 7.

If you give her a ring she will ask you what you are wearing and look out for you.......she wears a bell travel badge.

Office number in Bangkok is 027474673 if you need it.

When I arrived at the new airport in February I was booked on the 1800 hrs Bell bus to Pattaya town centre.

They have a number of daily bus runs to/from Airport.

I am booked on the 1200 bus this coming Tuesday

Email Bell Bus & they will give you the daily schedule, they will also give you directions on where to meet their representative.

I had no problems whatsoever.

To clarify: The Bell Travel bus is *WAY* better than anything that was EVER offered at the old airport.

* Much more frequent

* Much faster

* Much better service (booking, etc)

* Much cheaper

Note that exit 7 is at the bottommest level (so actually one level down from where you arrive) and WAY at the end, so on the 'international' side. Near where the cheapo and nice food center is.

Cheers,

Chanchao

I'm yet to try them but I am impressed with how quickly they have responded to my emails and request for a booking.

It is so nice to get a fast and informative reply to an email - instills a sense of confidence.... look forward to seeing if they are as good as I am hoping.

Can anyone tell me how long the trip back to the airport (Suvarnabhumi) actually takes. I've been told 'about 2 hours' but worry about catching a 1300 hrs bus from Pattaya for a 1700 hr flight out.

It takes 2 hours.

As to whether you will be ok on the 1pm bus, i personally would get the earlier 11am? bus.........especially if you are travelling on a Saturday, thinking of Immigration queues.

Also the bus might leave Pattaya 10-15 mins late as they wait for passengers to be dropped off from their hotels in the minibus.

Up to you as they say.... :o

Recently there's some construction work going on on the Motorway highway #7. Combined with certain days/hours, like Sunday afternoon when weekenders go back to Bangkok, this can cause it to go up to 2 and a half hours. :o Or perhaps more if you're really unlucky. This of course would affect a taxi just the same.

Kerryd you are away at the moment aren't you?.....if you want i can have a run up there and get the times for you..........let me know.

Yeah, still stuck here in the wart that sits in the armpit of the world. :D

I have to wait a day or so before making anymore plans. I'm in one of those situations where I'm waiting on news that is both good and bad at the same time.

I may be getting a new position (promotion and pay raise), :D but I may have to cancel (reschedule) my holidays until the end of next month (and me sitting here with less than 9 days to go until my planned trip). :o

It's a little crazy here right now (work-wise), and may take a couple of weeks to sort out. After tomorrow though, I should have a good idea whether or not I'll still be home in time for Songkran !

I can only add to the praise of this outfit.

I sent an email from Singapore trying to book at 5.30 am this mornig.

I arrived at the ariport at 7.45, walked off the plane to be greeted by an empty immigration area, I even had a choise of places to get my passport stamped. :D Apart from the immi guy trying to give me a 30 stamp in stead of a 60 day, it took very little time.

Got to the bagage carrosel and the bags were there already!!!! :D Never had this happen any airport I've been to.

Got my bag, passed through customs, swatted off the touts, got a new sim for the phone, and rang the number in this thread. The very efficient lady answered and directed me to a place to meet so we could catch the aircon bus. Was on the bus by 8:15, waited till 8:30 an off we went.

At Pattaya they put us on mini-busses to go to the nomiated hotels. Was there by 11.45. :D

All this service for the princley sum of B150.

The email was answered at 10:30am, they had checked that I had caught the bus before replying. :o

SERVICE!

//email address deleted

You can contact them at: [email protected]

No website as far as I know. Cost is 150 baht (including the transfer from the Bust Station to your hotel).

Note for future - Do NOT put your email address into a post. Not unless you want a buttload of spam to start appearing in your inbox. This is due to various "spiders" and "bots" (automatic web programs that scan websites and message boards for email address. When they find them, they sell them to people who proceed to bombard you with their crap.

If you would like someone to email you personally, send them a "PM" (Private Message) and include your email address in that.

Correct - thanks for that Kerryd. :o

I've made the necessary edit.

Just got back to the USA and used this service for pickup from Pattaya to airport based on this post. With the exception of the pickup being 10 minutes late, no complaints whatsoever! Thumbs up to Sirisong & RRC! :o

Well duh :D The anxiety was a killer though considering the way things typically run in LoS also combined with the fact that 19:00 was the last bus to the airport.

I just used the Bell Travel bus I have to say

these people provide a very efficient and cost-effective bus service.

I cant understand why anyone would pay more than five times the price to take a taxi ?

Posted

Wel, here I sit at the airport :D having used Bell Travel once again to get here. And once again, pretty good service. Picked up on time, transferred from the mini-bus to the big bus, a quick stop at the bus terminal and we were off. An hour and 30 minutes later we were at the airport, smooth as silk.

Which reminds me. I was 3/4's of the way through the Immigration line-up when it dawned on me that I hadn't bought a Departure Tax ticket. Never even saw a kiosk selling them. Thought I must be confused or something. Went all the way through into the Depature area, and no Tax ticket !

Still a pain in the butt trying to find a smoking room. Guess I should quit again. :o

Most of the airlines are including the departure tax in the ticket price now............the breakdown should be on the ticket.

See here for a bit more info....

Good point that I almost forgot also, Kerry. Was wondering about this point also. Also, thanks for the post reference, Thaiflyer!

Buses are fine........they either use the big blue and white ones that run along Sukhumvit or a smaller coach they have themselves depending on numbers.

I would advise you to go to the office beforehand and book a ticket as the last time i used them on the 13th of this month the bus was fairly full...........seems words got out about their service.

Toilets........hhmmm never used them myself but i did see a passenger disappear down below so i assume they have one.

They have a minibus waiting at Pattaya to drop you off at your hotel if needed........she will ask you where your hotel is without prompting should you need this service...............its free.

Going to the airport all you need do is turn up 15 mins before departure.

On the return leg.........you need to give the girl who accompanies the bus a ring on her mobile while you are waiting to collect your baggage off the carousel...........she will wait for you "downstairs" near exit door 7 or 10 depending where the bus is parked outside..............(make a note of her mobile number when you book your ticket in the pattaya office, its on the bottom of the timetable) :o

Thanks for the info Thaiflyer, I am due to arrive Sunday 2 pm, I was thinking that by the time I get through Immigration, it may well be after 3 pm before getting to my Baggage.

I usually jump in a Taxi for approx 1200, but by the time the Tolls are paid and give the guy a tip, it's 1500 Baht, a nice Comfortable bus may be a better option. I can always hire a Baht Bus in Pattaya to take me home, I don't have a Hotel, then again, I leave my Car in Sky Beach Condo, maybe they can take me there for free!! LOL...

Cheers TF. :D
