April 11, 200719 yr Well the topic says it all. Now Google is blocked in Thailand. Unbelievable... Don't know where you are accessing it from but I just called up www.google.com.th and to check I did a search for something I needed anyway It is working for me CB
April 11, 200719 yr interesting what happens when you have a micky mouse Internet infrastructure overloaded at holiday time , coupled with the known blocks .............................
April 11, 200719 yr Author Its still blocked here in bangkok, silom. I uploaded a screenshot. I checked in several browser and I'm with True.
April 11, 200719 yr google.co.th is working for me... in bkk... but cnn.com has been blocked for me since 4:30 pm... almost an hour now!
April 11, 200719 yr Its still blocked here in bangkok, silom. I uploaded a screenshot. I checked in several browser and I'm with True. Not for me. I am with true as well. Also in Bangkok. Are you maybe surfing via a proxy that might be blocked now?
April 11, 200719 yr www.cnn.com is blocked. i have true in bangkok. google is working though. Edited April 11, 200719 yr by jbsears
April 11, 200719 yr Author Did you try to google Youtube? No youtube was gone since some days I follow the whole thing anyway. I try regular Google. All other sites are working for me. CNN.com is blocked as well.
April 11, 200719 yr Forget the news, its always depressing anyways, either someone is getting robbed or killed, just go out and get pissed and enjoy life I say.
April 11, 200719 yr All the members reporting blocks are using nearly the same IP, last digit varying by 2 only (same sub domain) - all True and all static corporate IPs. Members on True not showing it are on a different sub-domain. Seems the ISP (True) is messing around.
April 11, 200719 yr something fishy is going on - counter coup?? Soundman. If there was going to be one, this weekend would be the perfect time when the city is empty. If they keep all this censoring up, it will piss off the already pissed off Thais and may lead to more anti-junta feeling. They should be careful to keep the populous happy.
April 11, 200719 yr Author Back to normal. Google.com is working again Cnn.com still not. But yeah life without Cnn.com is ok. Without Google.com not really. Maybe the Thai engineers are trying to block individual videos now since Google and YouTube won't back down. They also forgot to block http://youtube.com (without the www) for some days. I can't access from outside Thailand a PC that is connected on True ADSL with 124.121.188.XX Is it the same ? Edited April 11, 200719 yr by cclub75

April 11, 200719 yr Ministry is giving the thumbs down to amazon.com, too. IP: 58:97:x:xxx I think it's a mistake... I mean the guys at True must be doing some work in progress with their censor-blackboxes. Obviously, they didn't read enough the documentation.
April 11, 200719 yr This censorship is such an intelligent way to unite a country. Nailing their own coffin.
April 11, 200719 yr This censorship is such an intelligent way to unite a country.Nailing their own coffin. The funny irony is that I am in the Communist Lao PDR and I can access anything and everything!
