thai narak's got a point: that if the followers of this man are so fanatic that they truly are ready to immolate themselves in protest, Thaksin has created a cult. I seriously doubt the reports, however. Normally I'd be upset at posters wishing the death of people, but I don't think the supporters would do this.

Do we need to travel to Bangkok to witness this, or will there be simultaneous spontaneous combustion all over the country?

People out here in Asia seem to easily follow cult leaders. The question is if they are really willing to burn themselves would they be willing to use violence against others? In my view in Thailand people are are more likely to hurt themselves than others unlike in America where it would seem that people think of hurting others before hurting themselves.

No up to you, I just think whishing for peoples death even under the cover of jokes is distastefull, especially when it has a possible subtle underline of true sentiment from some posters, and that goes for any subject that might be used as the basis for such comments.
