Broadband! How To Get It For Only Two Months?

Featured Replies

Basically I've got a friend who wants broadband for a month or two. What are his options? Using a mobile phone to get broadband? Pay True for a year but only use it for a couple of months? (he's honestly considering this), any other suggestions pretty please?

Help!!!!

Thanks chaps!

Very simple.

When you sign up, you are required to pay only a month in advance.

After the two months, you cancel. True might slap you with a cancellation fee of THB 2,000 because you commit yourself (but not pay) for 12 months.

You don't say why he wants 2 months access. If he is coming to Thailand or Bangkok and is staying in a serviced appartment, the landlord/office might well be happy to arrange the service for you for this short period. Otherwise it might be best to do according to the post above. Also try Loxinfo or samart as they seem to be better organised and may have options.

More of a worry is getting him hooked up quickly as it can sometimes take several weeks to get a phone line and internet service set up and running. Make sure he applies immediatly, or finds in advance an apartment where the landlord will make the arrangements in advance. A good serviced apartment should have no problem with this.

If you have a TOT line where you are staying, then you can apply and there

is no minumum period stated.
