'mentally ill' bomb expert missing in thailand

Thai authorities confirmed today that a mentally ill Canadian explosives expert was missing in Thailand but said they did not believe he posed a threat to the upcoming APEC summit.

Thai Interior Minister Wan Muhamad Nor Matha said that Montgomery Paisley, a 40-year-old military veteran who served in Afghanistan, was in the country on an expired visa.

In the article they actually did not state his "mental illness". There's a big difference between someone suffering from a mood disorder to a schizophrenia. Sorry it's a pet hate when an individual with a mental illness is described as "sick", as in the article. As Dr Thomas Szasz once said "Minds can be sick only in the sense that jokes are sick or economies are sick".
